Buffet Super Dynaction saxophones were made in Paris near the legendary Selmer factory, and were intended as direct competition to the Mark VI instruments. For whatever reason they never quite received the same status, but they are definitely worthy competition, and now represent a fantastic value in a classic top-professional instrument that oozes tone and character. These instruments have great, fast keywork, and a beautiful dark, singing sound.
This 1961 alto is in great condition, playing well on older pads. It has a nice comfortable modified front-f key and has a custom neck emblem added. There is a little lacquer missing as a result these 2 solder jobs but the instrument is in otherwise near-mint condition. Also in stock here is one of the original hard rubber mouthpieces that came with these instruments, also in great shape (for sale separately) - they do seem to play really well together.
This horn has sold we do have another one about to be listed - Make an appointment to come by and check it out!
